• We love to travel– for destination weddings & for fun! I've studied abroad in London & France, honeymooned in Ireland, served in Ecuador, & visited 5 other countries. (Charleston is still our favorite!)
• Zach & I grew up in Mississippi and have just moved back to the Jackson, MS area! Since getting married in 2014 we have lived in Charleston, DC, and Wichita, Kansas, where we still accept weddings.
• Zach & I have been together since college freshman in 2009, when we were set up by our new friends in the Mississippi College 'caf' (they knew we were meant to be together!)
• In addition to being a dentist, Zach is also my favorite second photographer! Our images work together seamlessly for our couple’s gallery, and we have a whole lotta fun together. It's also fun because this is in the one area of our relationship where I am The Boss. We've spent the past 10 years becoming the best wedding photographers we can be, and are constantly honing our craft.
• When not photographing weddings, you'll find me editing & listening to an audiobook or attending to the behind the scenes work. I love spending my free time with my husband Zach, our sweetest golden retriever in the world, Skye, & our snuggly cat Pippin! We love cooking, live music, golf, church & hosting gatherings!
Zach & I were married in May 2014 at my favorite place in the world - my parent's historic home near Flora, Mississippi.
Trust me, I know ALL about planning a beautiful wedding. We had a great crew of vendors, and our wedding video captures all the love, emotion, and beauty of our day. You want a marriage-centered wedding that is beautiful AND fun - we get it! We treasure our wedding photos and videos, and allll the memories they bring back to us every time we watch it!
Our only regret is that Skye was only born the day before & couldn't be in our wedding!

I adore natural evening light! There is something so magical that it lends to your photos. I recommend talking with your photographer & taking into account the time of day as you plan your ceremony time! I plan all my timelines and portrait sessions around the time with the best light! While it can be unpredictable, the sun is one of the biggest factors that can transform your photos (and it's free!)
Film provides the beautiful skin tones, colors & dreamy quality to my images! I also shoot with digital to capture the faster paced moments of the wedding. Shooting with both cameras allows me to use the camera where it shines best & provide you the best photos possible. I am happy shooting with digital & flash to capture the best of your wedding during nighttime receptions.

Zach & I love to travel & have been to 9 countries together! We studied abroad in London for 3 months in college & it has been one of our favorite life experiences so far. We go on a lot of road trip adventures with Skye, as well as travel to weddings together (without Skye, sadly!) Our favorite city in the world is Charleston.

They've been supportive of me & ASP every step of the way. Though we live in separate states my mom & sister are also two of my closest friends!

Our Wedding
I always thought I would become a great doctor like my dad! It wasn't until the middle of my freshman year of college that I realized I could have a career as a wedding photographer. This was in 2009 before photography became trendy & before weddings were a large industry! There was no online education, and wedding blogs & social media were just getting started. I prayed a LOT, switched to a graphic design major, and soon after was chosen for an internship with Followell Fotography. From the first wedding I knew I'd made the right decision, and now I'm living my dream!

Although I have been obsessed with photography since I was only 12, I never would have envisioned where I am today.
My proudest moments are when my non-photo-loving grooms tell me how much they enjoyed their engagement session or wedding and how much they love their photos!! It makes my day every time. Also I may or may not do a happy tears/happy dance combination when I get a sweet review or email!

As a high school senior I received a rare 5/5 on my photography portfolio in AP art.
My theme was abstract underwater images that symbolized emotions.
My style might have changed a *little* since then but that is still one of my favorite accomplishments!

You spell our last name S-Church, but you say "Shurch"! It's Swiss-German! (Zach's mom's family immigrated from Switzerland when she was young, & his dad's family happened to have a last name of the same origin.)
